Year 4, 5 and 6 Sports Day!
Houses Completed in the Annual Sports Day!
On Friday 5th July, Year 4, 5 and 6 held their annual Sports Day. This is always a highly anticipated event for children and adults alike! The students had spent many weeks practising and learning the best techniques for a range of different athletic events.
The day began with sprint races for every child. There was clear excitement and anticipation on the start line whilst the children were waiting for Mr Gray’s whistle to mark the beginning of the race! It was wonderful to witness the supportive cheers from the students and adults watching as the children sped down the track. A range of track races then were held including: egg and spoon, football dribble, skipping, quoit balancing and relay races. Adult races were held at the end of the morning and were competed with much enthusiasm and competitive spirit!
In the afternoon, the Sports Day events continued. The children visited different stations where they participated to earn more points for their house. One of the most popular events was Tug-of-war where the students’ effort was clear to see! The final results from the whole day are yet to be announced and the suspense is building for the pupils in Year 4, 5 and 6!
