Year 5 Shoot into Solar System!
The planetarium visited school once again to delight children as they took a virtual tour of the Milky Way!
Inside that rather odd look inflatable ball lies the whole galaxy...
Today, a new cohort of Year 5 were launched into space! They had a wonderful time when the planetarium came to visit. A planetarium is a special theatre built to present information about astronomy and the night sky. Can you believe we managed to fit the whole solar system into our gym?
As part of this amazing experience, they visited all of the different planets and learnt more about our moon and the Sun! Watching the night sky and noticing different constellations was astonishing as they saw what the Earth’s night sky would look like in a full 24-hours. How amazing for the children to have a journey into space, all from the comfort of the hall!
