Futsal International Tournament Success!

A child in year 4 captained his team to the final in Belgium, with an exceptional personal performance in the games.

A year 4 child recently enjoyed a four-day trip to Mouscron in Belgium to be captain of his Futsal team, in an international tournament!

He led his team to the biggest win of  the tournament with a score of 8-0, securing a place in the knockout rounds. Amazingly, he scored four goals in the knock outs, and then he scored again in the semi-final . In the final, he scored two more goals! The score was a draw of 3-3 but his team lost on penalties. Second place is a huge achievement- well done!

He was voted best pivot (forward player) of the tournament by the other coaches. Along with four players from other teams, he also made into the team of the tournament. What an amazing success!

Not only did he excel in his sport, he and his teammates tried to learn some French and speak it when shopping and sight-seeing. He had a great time exploring;  experiencing another country and language; meeting new people and learning about others.

We are incredibly proud of him and send all of our congratulations!
