National Storytelling Week Part 2
Storytelling excitement continued in Year 4 with children working hard to create their own short stories. The children organised themselves into small groups and used a variety of props from the Prop Box in order to support their ideas. Each group practised the art of storytelling and the children thoroughly enjoyed listening to the tales.
Year 6 used the vocabulary words they have been learning to create and write a story. They embedded the meaning of each of the words and ensured that they fully understood their meanings. Once they completed their stories, the children spent time reading their work to each other. The children appreciated listening to each other’s work and hearing each individual’s take on the task.
