Congratulations, House Captains!
Congratulations to our Year 6 children who were elected this week!
Part of the excitement at the start of Year 6, is the opportunity for our students to become House Captains. This year was no exception! Across the year group, there was a real buzz as the children began to prepare speeches to read aloud in front of their classmates in assembly. Impressively, the children bravely shared their strengths and staked their claim to be chosen for the role. All members of staff listening were blown away by the maturity and clarity with which all the children spoke.
Afterwards, there was the voting process – where all the children had the opportunity to vote for two candidates. Once all the votes had been counted, the new House Captains were announced by Mrs. Ford in Tuesday’s assembly. Our new House Captains were thrilled to find out that they had been chosen and have already begun fulfilling their duties this week.
While we congratulate these eight children, it would be a shame not to acknowledge the amazing effort put in by all the Year 6 pupils who rehearsed and performed their speeches – they all were truly amazing! Well done to all of Year 6 and our new House Captains!!!
The House Captains will be introducing themselves in this month's newsletter, which is published on 27/09/24. Check your inbox to find out more!
