Woodston Goes Yellow for Young Minds

Our school shone brightly in their yellow outfits yesterday in support of Young Minds on World Mental Health Day. We stood together proudly to show our support for their message: 

‘Right now, the world is a really tough place for children and young people
to grow up in. We want young people to know that they don’t have to go
through this alone. Things can get better. This World Mental Health Day,
wear yellow with thousands of others across the UK to show young people that they’re not alone with their mental health. Because we stand brighter, together.’

In school, children learnt that lots of people struggle with feelings sometimes- it is quite normal. They found out about the things they can do to help if it ever happens to them. They talked about the trusted adults they could talk to, and the activities they could do to help them feel better.
