Challenging Ourselves!
It is always exciting to see children in school challenging themselves to produce their best work. The children in Year Five are currently doing this consistently through their learning about Mount Everest. They have demonstrated their interest and enthusiasm in all the lessons, and now they are applying their writing skills to present what they have learned.
These examples of work were created by Simona, Gabriella, Hanna and Eva, and the girls were so proud of their writing, they took it to Mrs Ford to show her. Mrs Ford enjoyed hearing the children's enthusiasm for their topic but when asked if they would like to climb Mount Everest, the response was a unanimous 'no' and the children proceeded to tell Mrs Ford exactly how many people had lost their lives trying to do this! The girls may not be keen on climbing mountains for now, but they are certainly scaling new heights in their learning!
