Woodston Primary PTA
Woodston Primary PTA has been set up by an enthusiastic group of parents who want to volunteer their time to bring lots of exciting events for the children and their families to enjoy.
As well as planning fun and exciting events, we also organise a range of fundraising activities such as dress down days and the ‘fund-raisin’ challenge which has proven to be very popular.
As a newly formed PTA, we are currently trying to build up the funds to develop the outdoor area. The generosity from our pupils and their carers has been incredible so far and we are off to a great start!
The PTA isn’t just about raising money for the school. It’s about bringing the students, their families and teachers together and helping the pupils of Woodston Primary make memories that will stick with them for a lifetime.

Get Involved
Woodston Primary PTA has many fabulous members, but we would love for more parents/carers to get involved.
There are many ways in which you can help which are:
Helping at Events
Our events will include School Discos, Break the Rules Day, Summer Fêtes, Christmas fairs and much more.
Offering to help organise, set up and run events during the year is so valuable – it really is a case of ‘many hands make light work’. It doesn’t matter if you can’t help on a regular basis, or even if you can’t come into school for the event. There are always little jobs that can be done from home if you have half an hour to spare, e.g., wrapping gifts, preparing raffle tickets etc. We really couldn’t achieve what we do without the unseen ‘army of help’ that exists in school.
Joining the committee
To plan and coordinate our events and fundraising initiatives, we have a committee which consists of a core team of volunteers (chair, secretary and treasurer) committee members and teacher representatives who meet regularly.
We plan and look into new ways to raise vital funds for our school via fun activities and fundraising. You, too, can join our committee, just drop us a message via email (insert my email), have a chat with us at any events or come along to one of our meetings.

School Disco Thursday 23rd May
We are very excited to be hosting a school disco! Are you ready to get your dancing shoes on and have a good boogie?
Timings:
2.30-3.00pm EYFS
3.30-4.30pm Years 1, 2 and 3
5.00-6.00pm Years 4, 5 and 6

Colour Run Saturday 13th July
Just imagine running around the track with colourful powders exploding all round in a rainbow haze! This is going to be such a fun event for everyone involved, from the children running and getting covered in colour, to the adults who spay them with water and dust them with multi-coloured cornflower!
